The Hong Kong Prize Winner Will Be Announced in September 2022

Over its 40 year history, Hong Kong’s Mark Six lottery has brought hope and benefits to people from all walks of life in Hong Kong. Boasting a minimum first prize of HK$10 million, it has made significant contributions towards public welfare and a variety of social services while serving as one of the primary forms of entertainment among Hongkongers.

Organisers of an event have announced that a winner will be selected in September 2022 with a total prize pool of HK$100 million, more than double what had been offered previously. This announcement should please both finalists and all those involved; and organizers hope more contestants will take part next year.

A team of experts will select and publish the winning submission, which will then be presented at an academic forum and met with key development sector stakeholders to present its ideas. As judges for this competition, Antonia Carver from Art Jameel in Dubai UAE and Christopher K Ho from Asia Art Archive Singapore will serve on this judging panel.

At this time of political unease, Hong Kong must remain an open and vibrant global city. The Prize judges will assess Hong Kong’s unique position within global society as well as its future potential to thrive; furthermore they will assess commitment to internationalism, innovation, sustainability and using art for social cohesion purposes.

South China Morning Post editors Edith Lin and Jeffie Lam were honored at this year’s Hong Kong News Awards with 12 wins – taking top honours in two categories for their investigation of unauthorised structures added to luxury properties; additionally they placed second in both Local News Reporting and Best Scoop categories.

Hong Kong will offer an enhanced cash incentive of up to HK$6 Million to athletes who win gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, according to Chief Secretary Eric Chan Kwok-ki. This reward will more than double that offered for winning bronze medals.

Sergio Garcia will leave LIV Golf Hong Kong with a handsome check from his dominating win at this tournament.
